Realme GT 8 Pro Leaked: 200MP Camera, Samsung Display, New Snapdragon Chip

After launching several strong mid-range and premium phones in the first half of 2025, Realme is now quietly working on its next big flagship—Realme GT 8 Pro. This phone is expected to be the follow-up to the GT 7 Pro, which came with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. According to well-known Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station, many important details about the upcoming device have been leaked, including its processor, screen, and camera setup.
Realme GT 8 Pro Display Specs (Leaked)
As per the leak, the Realme GT 8 Pro might feature a 6.85-inch display made by Samsung, with LTPO support and 2K resolution. Unlike the GT 7 Pro, which had a curved 1.5K display, this new phone may use a flat screen with very thin bezels. This lines up with a previous leak from March 2025 by Smart Pikachu.
A key detail is the display’s use of polarizer-less depolarization technology, which was also seen on the GT 7 Pro. This tech helps deliver strong contrast without using as much battery. The phone might also include an anti-reflection (AR) film, making the screen easier to see under sunlight or bright lights.
Realme seems to be pushing for a top-tier display experience, and this panel could even compete with what’s expected on the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. According to the leak, this screen might be one of the most expensive displays among Chinese sub-brands, suggesting Realme is aiming high with this model.
Camera Specs – What to Expect
The leak refers to this phone as the “SM8850 new phone”, which likely points to the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor—Qualcomm’s most powerful chip expected later this year.
For cameras, the GT 8 Pro is said to include a 50MP main camera and an ultra-wide lens, likely around 8MP, similar to the GT 7 Pro. However, the biggest upgrade could be a 200MP HP5 periscope camera, which would be a huge jump from the 50MP periscope lens on the GT 7 Pro. This new HP5 sensor is made by Samsung and may also appear in the OPPO Find X9 Pro. It’s expected to have a larger size for better zoom and photo quality.
Other Features and Launch Timeline
A separate leak from May 2025 mentioned that the GT 8 Pro may feature a metal body and a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. The GT 7 Pro already had an aluminum frame and ultrasonic scanner, so it looks like Realme is improving on its past design while keeping some of the best features.
Since the GT 7 Pro launched in China in November 2024, it’s likely that the GT 8 Pro will launch around November 2025, with an India release expected by late December 2025.
In short, the Realme GT 8 Pro is shaping up to be a true flagship—with a powerful chip, premium display, and a major camera upgrade. If these leaks are accurate, Realme could give serious competition to big brands in the premium smartphone space.
