Moto G Power (2026) leak reveals new design, Pantone color & Dimensity 6400 chip

Moto G Power (2026)

Motorola’s next mid-range smartphone, the Moto G Power (2026), is already making headlines through early leaks. Just a few months after the Moto G Power (2025) launched, new details about its successor’s design and features are starting to come out.

Model Number XT2615-1 Hints at a 2026 U.S. Launch

As reported by Android Headlines, the leaked model number XT2615-1 matches Motorola’s usual format. The “26” suggests a 2026 release, while the “15” marks it as part of the Moto G series. The last digit shows it’s likely aimed at the U.S. market. The Moto G Power (2025), for example, came with the code XT2515.

Bold Color with Pantone Style

Leaked images show Motorola continuing its partnership with Pantone. This time, the Moto G Power (2026) appears in a stylish blue shade — Pantone 431C, also known as “Straight Blue.” The back seems to be made of glossy plastic, giving it a glass-like appearance. While vegan leather isn’t shown, other color options might include it, just like past Motorola phones.

Dual Cameras

The camera layout looks nearly the same as last year’s model. It features two main cameras, while a third “lens” is likely just a light sensor. The main camera is expected to remain at 50MP, along with an 8MP ultra-wide lens — similar to the Moto G Power (2025). No major upgrades are expected here.

Upgraded Chip, But Most Specs Stay the Same

Although Motorola hasn’t confirmed all specs, reports suggest the phone will upgrade from the Dimensity 6300 to the newer Dimensity 6400 processor. This chip was launched in early 2025 and is built using a 6nm process. It includes:

  • 2 Cortex-A76 cores (up to 2.5GHz)
  • 6 Cortex-A55 cores (up to 2.0GHz)

Other features — like the 5,000mAh battery and 8GB RAM — will likely remain the same as last year’s model.

Launch Date and Availability

Motorola introduced the Moto G Power (2025) just after CES in January. So, the 2026 version may also launch around that time. But since companies are launching phones earlier each year, there’s a chance it could debut by late 2025, possibly in markets like India first.

Final Thoughts: A Small Update, Not a Big Change

From what’s been leaked so far, the Moto G Power (2026) seems like a minor refresh rather than a big upgrade. The price is expected to stay around $300 USD (about ¥43,000). Motorola hasn’t released a Moto G Power phone in Japan since the 2020 G8, and the 2025 version didn’t launch there either — so the 2026 model might skip Japan as well.

Still, Motorola often launches similar phones under different names in different regions. So fans of the G Power series might still get a similar device with matching specs under a new name.
